Trips are rated according to the physical fitness level demanded by the included activities.
- Easy is for women who are in good physical condition but prefer a leisurely, less rigorous experience. You should be able to walk or hike 2-4 miles. Many easy trips do not involve hiking, but may require good balance and mobility.
- Moderate means that you must be in very good physical condition. Trips of this designation offer moderate physical challenges. You should be able to hike from 5-8 miles, in rolling terrain. In addition, many of our international trips are rated moderate because of the rigors of international travel.
- High Energy means that you must be in excellent physical condition, and be able to hike up to 10 miles, in steeper, more rugged terrain. Some trips may have a "high energy" component to them, which means that one or two days of the trip might be rated as such.
