In October 2015, AdventureWomen headed to Southeast Utah for a week of rafting and hiking. We spent three days rafting on the Colorado River thru Westwater Canyon, and then explored Canyonlands National Park, Arches National Park, and Moab, Utah.
As you will see in this Photo Gallery from our adventure, this Utah adventure vacation was a real hit! A truly magical journey of the body and spirit!
The fabulous photos by Leslie Stoltz and Dorothy Gentile are paired with quotes from some of the AdventureWomen travelers who joined us on the trip.
It was exactly what I wanted to do – a trip that had multiple facets, including a small group of fabulous women.
The rafting was fantastic!
It was fun! (How many Adventure Women does it take to put up a tent?)
I loved the location, the scenery, hiking trails and great food on the river.
I can be really cold & really wet & still really enjoy myself.
I’m not as soft as I thought. (As our guide Tabitha demonstrates how to use the groover, the river toilet.)
I am in better shape that I thought! I’m always concerned that I won’t be able to keep up with the hiking, but I was fine.
[The trip] went above and beyond all expectations. The guides were first class. My traveling companions were delightful & a truly cohesive group. [The trip was] exactly as advertised.
[I met] women who like adventure, not shopping.
Our guides were knowledgeable, fun & helpful.
I left home on my own but did not spend the week alone. I met great people here.
Trips like this make you come out of your shell.
I still can do & enjoy the outdoors at this age as when I was in my 20’s & 30’s.
Hiking Thursday in Arches NP was absolutely phenomenal. Breathtaking falls far short of the experience.
As part of AdventureWomen I was able to meet a bunch of amazing women who were supportive, humorous and a great bunch of traveling champions.
I can’t wait to tell my friends and/or family about… Sorry, can’t narrow it down! Leslie (AW Associate) was much fun and so knowledgable; the river guides, the ‘groover’ experience; the canyons; the Colorado River; the AW group – people I hope to keep in touch with; Utah and all its beauty.
I was able to travel independently, tried new things that challenged me, and be successful at the challenging things.
I can’t wait to tell my friends and/or family about… Everything!
I can’t wait to tell my friends and/or family about… The serenity on the river. The quick bonding of the group. The expertise of Tabitha (our guide) at all times.
I can’t wait to tell my friends and/or family about…The exhilarating rapids and the outstanding scenery of Moab, Utah!
Canyonlands National Park is amazingly beautiful and everyone should see it for themselves.
Can’t wait to travel again!! Keep up the good work!
