On a Dynamic trip, you might:

Welcome to Glacier National Park

Fly into Kalispell (Glacier Park International Airport (FCA)), your gateway to a wild and stunning landscape, arriving before 3:30 PM to enjoy a private 30-minute transfer to West Glacier and your eco-conscious lodge nestled just outside the park. This charming retreat blends rustic comfort with mountain vibes. After settling in, dine at the historic Belton Chalet, built in 1910, offering gourmet mountain cuisine and panoramic views. Connect with fellow travelers over dinner, then return to the lodge to rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

River Rafting on Flathead River

Start your day with a cozy breakfast, then explore the charm of West Glacier, a small town with big scenery. For an added cost, rent an e-bike and ride a self-guided loop through Apgar Village and along Lake McDonald, stopping to shop, dip your toes, or hike to Rocky Point. In the afternoon, join Glacier Guides for a half-day whitewater rafting trip on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, with Class II–III rapids. End the day with a riverside BBQ before returning to the lodge to rest up before camping tomorrow.

Going-to-the-Sun Road and Highline Trail

After breakfast, set out on the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road, one of the most iconic drives over the Continental Divide with breathtaking views of glacial valleys and alpine peaks. Stop at Logan Pass to hike the iconic Highline Trail to Haystack Butte, where dramatic cliffs, wildflower-filled meadows, and sweeping views of glacial basins await. Keep an eye out for mountain goats and marmots along the way. After the hike, head to your cozy basecamp near St. Mary, where your guides will serve a delicious warm dinner under Montana’s vast, starry sky.

Canadian Wonders in Waterton Lakes National Park

Today, journey north into Canada to explore Waterton Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where mountains meet eye-catching turquoise lakes and wildflower-filled meadows. Enjoy a scenic drive into the park followed by a one-hour boat cruise on Waterton Lake, crossing between the U.S. and Canada with stunning views only visible from the water. Afterward, explore Waterton’s highlights, from the iconic Prince of Wales Hotel to shops, galleries, trails, and a waterfall. Dinner is on your own in town before returning across the border to your cozy camp for the night.

This morning, choose your own unforgettable hiking adventure. For a thrilling challenge with epic rewards, tackle the 10-mile Iceberg Lake Trail—winding through alpine forest and wildflower meadows to a jaw-dropping glacial lake cradled by towering cliffs. Prefer a gentler route? The 4.2-mile Redrock Falls Trail leads by sparkling streams and serene lakes to a stunning, tumbling waterfall. Enjoy a trailside lunch with your group before visiting the iconic Many Glacier Hotel, a Swiss-style lodge nestled beside Swiftcurrent Lake. Paddle its glassy waters, sip a drink on the deck, or simply take in the staggering mountain views. Return to camp for one last starlit dinner, savoring the magic of Glacier’s wild beauty.

Hiking in Wild Beauty

After one last breakfast at camp, head to the hidden gem of Glacier: the tranquil and stunning Two Medicine area. Your final hike to Twin Falls & Aster Falls winds through wildflower meadows to a picture-perfect waterfall tucked beneath rocky cliffs. Drive back to West Glacier to retrieve any stored luggage before continuing on to Whitefish. Check in to the beautiful Grouse Mountain Lodge, where the hot showers and cozy beds will feel extra sweet. If time allows, take a stroll through the charming town and enjoy dinner together.

Close out the week with a farewell dinner at Grouse Mountain Lodge, sharing stories, laughter, and a toast to an unforgettable Glacier adventure.

Farewell to Whitefish!

After one last peaceful morning in Whitefish, say your goodbyes and begin the journey home. A private shuttle will take you from Grouse Mountain Lodge to Kalispell/ Glacier Park International Airport (FCA). To allow for a relaxed morning and smooth transfer, please plan to book flights departing at 11:00 AM or later.

Glacier Guides Lodge

Glacier Guides Lodge is a quiet, eco-friendly lodge located in West Glacier, Montana, near the entrance to Glacier National Park. Tucked into the forest, it offers a peaceful atmosphere with comfortable, modern rooms. The lodge is run by a guiding company, making it a convenient choice for guests booking hiking, rafting, or fishing trips. It’s a short walk from the train station and park entrance.

St. Mary’s Basecamp (Camping)

Each person gets their own private dome tent, already set up with thick sleeping pads and cozy details. There are warm showers available just a short walk from camp (you’ll just need to purchase a token from the kiosk nearby).

Amenities: showers with hot water, sleeping bags provided – Please bring toiletries and towels. Wi-Fi limited.

Grouse Mountain Lodge

Grouse Mountain Lodge is a lodge located in Whitefish, Montana, near Glacier National Park. It offers comfortable accommodations with a mix of rustic and modern style. The lodge features a restaurant, bar, hot tubs, and a golf course next door. It’s a popular base for exploring Whitefish, skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort, and visiting the national park.

Absolutely! You belong here. AdventureWomen welcomes all women and individuals who identify as part of the women’s community. We celebrate all races, backgrounds, orientations, abilities, and ages. Our adventures reflect the vibrant diversity of our travelers.

You can process your registration on our online booking system or over the phone. Most deposits are $800. In many cases, and unless otherwise indicated, your deposit is transferable if you notify us in writing 120 before your trip departs.

Be sure to check the ‘What’s Included’ section of the trip you are interested in. Once you get to the departure city and meet the group, we often include most meals, all accommodations, all activities (although there might be an optional activity at an additional cost), transportation while on the adventure, qualified local guide(s) and some trips also include an AdventureWomen Ambassador. Our trips do not include airfare to/from the arrival and departure cities. Internal flights are included.

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage it! Many of the women who travel with AdventureWomen come solo. For those that do not choose a single supplement, we pair you with a roommate. Usually, when we change accommodations on a trip, we will change roommates if we can, so you get a chance to know others in our group. A limited number of single supplements may be available for an additional charge.

That depends entirely on the trip! AdventureWomen adventure travel trips are rated according to the physical fitness level demanded by the included activities.

  • Level One: Easy Pace Our Easy Pace trips are thoughtfully designed for women who enjoy gentle activity, cultural immersion, and plenty of time to savor the scenery. They feature light walking, easy terrain like cobblestone streets or flat nature trails, and optional activities such as city tours, wildlife safaris, and scenic boat rides. This level offers a relaxed pace with flexible itineraries and minimal physical exertion.
  • Level Two: Moderate For women who enjoy staying active, balanced with some downtime, our Moderate trips offer a blend of movement and relaxation. Activities may include walking on gently rolling trails, with occasional uneven terrain like forest paths or shallow creek crossings. With activities like beginner kayaking or short e-bike excursions, this level is perfect for those eager to explore while trying something new.
  • Level Three: Dynamic Designed for adventurous women ready for a challenge, our Dynamic trips feature regular activity on varied terrain with moderate elevation gains. Expect natural obstacles such as rocky paths and shallow creek crossings. From glacier walks and whitewater rafting to ziplining and kayaking in calm to lightly-choppy waters, this level is perfect for those with hiking and outdoor experience and a sense of adventure.
  • Level Four: High Energy Our High Energy adventures are designed for women who crave being on the go! You should be prepared for full days of hiking across rugged, moderate-altitude terrain. With some steeper inclines and rocky paths, these trips often feature back-to-back adrenaline-fueled activities like canyoneering, multi-day treks, and Class IV whitewater rafting—perfect for experienced adventurers and hikers with good stamina and a passion for pushing their limits.
  • Level Five: Challenging Our Challenging trips are crafted for seasoned adventurers ready to take on remote, high-altitude terrain, and full-day treks. These trips are demanding yet deeply rewarding and designed for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts. You should be in excellent physical condition and be able to hike up to 14 miles per day with steep ascents, rugged trails, and elevations reaching 19,500 feet. These are strenuous trips that require endurance and a commitment to training before departure.

A trip extension is an optional add-on to your main AdventureWomen itinerary. Extensions allow you to explore a destination more deeply, visit nearby regions, or enjoy additional activities before or after your scheduled trip.
